Scattered Seeds

Want to get more involved with JGSPBCI? We are searching for a new editor for Scattered Seeds

Scattered Seeds is an online newsletter. It is distributed to our members via email four times a year: January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1 of each year. The deadlines are December 1, March 1, June 1, and September 1.

The editor gathers information about JGSPBCIs activities as well as articles, newspaper clippings, BLOGS, Digest postings, and anything and everything that is new in genealogical research that might be pertinent to our members. Contributors email articles to the editor before the quarterly deadline for each issue. Knowledge of publishing programs such as Publisher or Pages is required to produce the newsletter (but, if you do not know the software, but would be willing to learn the program, we can help you.).

The layout and design is at the discretion of the Editor. Please be aware you are not in this alone. We have a dedicated group of excellent proofreaders which every good editor needs!).

If you feel you are qualified and you are interested in applying for this position, please contact president@jgspalmbeachcounty.org

If you have an interesting genealogical story that you would like to share with our members, CLICK HERE to email the JGS Editor before the next deadline. Deadline dates are: December 1st, March 1st, June 1st and Sept. 1st.

Practicing Safe Computing

Hal Bookbinder, from the Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley and Ventura County (California), has written a series of short articles on "Practicing Safe Computing." The articles published to date have been consolidated into a single PDF document with an internal index to quickly locate each article. Many genealogists may be interested in this topic.
